Rules & Guidelines

Please read the following rules carefully before participating in the challenge

Individual Participation

This is a solo challenge. Collaborative or team entries will not be considered for evaluation. Each participant must submit their own unique portfolio.

Hosting Requirement

Your website must be live on a public URL (GitHub Pages, Vercel, Netlify, etc.). Local files or screenshots are not valid submissions. The site must remain live until winners are announced.

Originality & Plagiarism

You can use templates for inspiration, but the content and personalization must be your own. Direct copying will lead to disqualification. All submissions will be checked for plagiarism.

Yes, students from FE, SE, TE, and BE of any engineering branch can participate. The challenge is open to all undergraduate students.

You can use HTML/CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React, Next.js, or even site builders like Framer/Wix. We judge the final output, usability, and design, not just the underlying code.

No, the ACM Portfolio Challenge 2026 is completely free for all participating students. There are no hidden charges or fees at any stage.

Portfolios will be judged on design aesthetics, responsiveness, content quality, usability, creativity, and technical implementation. A detailed rubric will be shared with participants.

All important updates will be shared in the official WhatsApp community. Make sure to join it after registration. Additionally, emails will be sent for critical announcements.

You can use templates as a starting point, but significant customization and personalization is expected. Direct copying of templates without modification will affect your creativity score.

We recommend GitHub Pages (free), Vercel, or Netlify. Any platform that provides a live, publicly accessible URL is acceptable.

Winners will be contacted via email/WhatsApp. Digital prizes will be delivered electronically. Domain registrations will be coordinated directly with winners.

No, the submitted URL will be evaluated as-is at the deadline. Make sure your portfolio is complete and polished before submitting.
