About this Hackathon

Eligibility: Any student with a valid college ID card and a receipt of registration


Objective:

To streamline the hackathon process for fairness, ease of management, and higher quality

outcomes through a two-round format with integrated mentor support.


Structure:

Round 1: Shortlisting Round


1. Purpose: Efficiently screen a large number of registrations.


2. Format: MCQ-based online test (domain knowledge, logic, etc.).

The Aptitude test is scheduled on 28th of September 2025.


3. Evaluation:

a. Results published on Unstop.

b. Results of this round calculated by us only.

c. Ensures fairness and prevents unjust eliminations.


Round 2: Final Hackathon

1. Participants: Only shortlisted teams from Round 1.

2. Objective: Develop the final working product/prototype.

3. Duration: 24 hours of continuous development.


Mentor Round (During Round 2):

1. Purpose: Provide direction and feedback.

2. Nature: Non-evaluative; purely for guidance.

3. Mentors: Industry professionals from the sponsoring company

4. Benefits:

  a. Help teams stay aligned with expected solution.

  b. Improve overall project quality while boosting confidence and productivity.


Rules:

1. Teams will be given 3-5 problem statements to choose from and develop a solution in the 24-hour

   time period. The solution may consist of a desktop app, web app, mobile app, data visualization or

   a design prototype.

2. Participants should develop an application of their choice to best fit the solution of the given

  problem statement. Mentors will connect with the teams online to help them and to check on what

  the teams are developing for some period of the Hackathon. `

3. Every team will have to explain their product individually to our mentors and will have to give a final

  presentation to our judging panel, out of which the winner will be chosen.

4. Participants must present their registration receipts and college ID, before the Hackathon.

5. Rules may be changed without prior intimation. Participants are requested to check the official

  MindSpark’25 website (www.mind-spark.org) regularly for updates.

6. Winners will be chosen solely on discretion. In case of any disputes, the decision of the organizers

  and the judges will be final and binding to all.

Teams: Maximum 4 per team

Fees: ₹ 299 per team

NOTE: The participants who will get selected for round 2 will have to pay additional ₹ 200/-.     

The link of payment will be shared later after selection.

The elimination criteria will depend on the number of registrations and an aptitude test will be conducted if there are more number of registrations
