Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College & University Students (CSSS)

The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS) is offered by the Department of Higher Education, Government of India. It supports meritorious students from economically weaker families pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate education.

Benefits

• ₹12,000 per year for the first three years of UG studies
• ₹20,000 per year for postgraduate courses
• Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the student's bank account

Eligibility

• Top 80th percentile in Class 12 examination
• Family income up to ₹8 lakh per annum
• Admission to a regular degree course in a recognized institution
• Not availing another major government scholarship
