CGPA Calculator Formula

CGPA = (Total of Grade Points Earned for a course X Credit hrs for each course) ÷ Total Credits Hours

CGPA = (Σ_i=1ⁿ P_i × C_i) ÷ (Σ_i=1ⁿ C_i)

where,

n = Total number of courses (or semesters).

P_i = Grade points secured for i number of courses (or SGPA for i-th semester).

C_i = Number of credits for i number of courses (or total credits for i-th semester).

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) uses a cumulative approach to calculate your CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average). This is determined by considering the Grade Points (SGPA) earned in each semester and their corresponding Credit Hours. Our tool helps you accurately calculate your CGPA by inputting your SGPA for each semester.

Note for DSE Students: If you are a Direct Second Year entry student, you can start entering your SGPA from Semester 3. Our calculator will only consider the semesters for which you provide input.
